The proposal involves placement of about 1,200 feet of 15 to 16-inch
diameter gravity sewer line. The new gravity sewer will extend from
the intersection of NE 90th Street and 120th Avenue NE westerly
about 580 feet and then northerly along the western edge of the
Costco parking lot about 610 feet to an existing sewer manhole
southwest of the recently completed Woodlands Senior Assisted
Housing. At the upstream end of the new sewer the pipe will be laid
at a depth of about 11 feet below the street. At the downstream
terminus of the new sewer, the pipe will be laid about 28 feet below
ground surface. To create the trench in which to lay the new sewer,
about 7,000 cubic feet of earth will be excavated. Pending the
results of the Engineering Geology Report, it is assumed that most of
the excavated material will be placed back in the trench. Select
backfill is expected to be imported for the top four feet of the trench
necessitating the export and import of about 1,400 cubic yards of
earth material. |
